Ideal Italia

The original client brief for the idealitalia site was simply to show a map of Italy enclosed in a circular structure to represent the company's 360-degree service philosophy. Instead of avoiding what might have been interpreted as "cliche", the full Italian flavour was instead embraced, using not just the country's outline but the Italian tricolour and easily relatable imagery.

The image relies heavily on photographic material styled across multiple layers and clipping groups in Photoshop. Each slice of the Italian tricolour contains classic Italian imagery such as examples of the country's art and architecture, a Venetian waterscape and the Roman Collosseum.

The required circular motif was achieved with a background image of an Italian roadmap which gave more weight to the overall image. A suitable typeface was chosen to maintain the Italian look and used throughout the site content to maintain consistency.
