Kare Kare

Kare Kare is a restaurant, recently launched in the heart of Kensington, London,offering a surprising mix of mainly Indian food influenced by the New Zealand surfing lifestyle. In fact, the restaurant is named after Kare Kare beach, a surfer's paradise in the Waitakere Ranges, west of Auckland.

The site had to reflect the feel of "ocean life" whilst maintaining a clean and uncluttered approach of the restaurant itself. Much of the imagery was supplied by the client, Managing Director of Jammy Dodger, but the overall look of the site had to adhere, as closely as possible, to the restaurant's existing corporate image.

karekare.co.uk's "Agenda" page shows photographs of the events held since the restaurant's launch in February 2002 with previews placed in a montage effect. Clicking a preview opens the full image in a new browser window.

The site uses frames and javascript was required to load two frames simultaneously. A booking form and extensive feedback form were also added using a CGI powered emailer.
